TATCO Celebrates Women’s Day 2026 in Bukerere

Women are our mothers, mothers build the nation and TATCO Uganda Empowers women.

As the whole world marked the International day of the Women on 8th March, 2026, here at TATCO Uganda- Mukono we also joined the world to celebrate our community women at TATCO Community Centere in Bukerere with a Theme “An empowered woman is an empowered community”.

A number of fun filled, engaging, motivating and inspiring activities were carried out to celebrate our women and continue believing in their strength, acknowledge their achievements sofar and giving them hope to lead.

A woman is a strong person and if empowered and given space to exercise her abilities, she can be at the forefront of community development. A woman plays a great role in creating and shaping her family as a mother which calls for respect and gratitude from the children, husband and any other community member by listening and believing in her thoughts and works. However if a woman is given more skills and support as an empowerment to practically bring out her inner abilities, the sky is the limit. Great impact will also be achieved if all stakeholders join hands and gender inclusivity is a key factor.  Said by Rtn. Kato Andrew (E.D TATCO Uganda) and the invited guest speakers.

At TATCO Uganda we understand Gender inclusivity and we carry out most of our programs tailored at supporting all gender so that there is equal opportunities and we try as much as possible to change the current stereotypes among men towards women by carrying out continued engagement workshops and we also understand that if we leave one gender out in our work, success will not be achieved.

So as we celebrated the Women’s day 2026, we also called upon men who attended the event to listen and stop the biasness towards the women and take part in all activities that we offer to their women, support them in any way possible where TATCO’s support is not enough for economic and social development.

This year 2026 to our community women in Bukerere sofar has already showed us signs that women are becoming strong and energized to change life, their families and surroundings and lead in some of the major developments both at home and in the communities at large due to the love and interest in TATCO Uganda’s empowerment programs.

As we celebrated the power of the women in our local communities of Bukerere, we did not forget to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible works and support from super women of #HaellaFoundation i.e #EliseKant, #HildeMarbus and many others at the foundation that with their continued support, love and guidance, we are able to also support a number of local women and youths in our communities develop and transform into very important people of substance in our communities.
