SETTING UP TATCO COMMUNITY VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER- BUKERERE

TATCO Uganda a charity organisation in Mukno District is looking forward to setting up an organization and Community center which will benefit both the organization and the community at large.

The new community center will be a place of relief to less fortunate children, women, youth, and the elderly community persons in and the surrounding areas. It will be distinguished by an integrated focus on child education and protection, youth development through training, family support, health and social services, a sensitization and awareness, recreation and play center for all but also a place which will house the administration/headquarter of TATCO Uganda. It will extend literacy programs to infants, after-school tutoring, digital classrooms to children and youths on a rolling basis, support them with emotional and social wellbeing, Library services to academicians and business persons. It will serve a training, awareness and research center for all the community persons in business and other social activities.The proposed project will be a first-of-a-kind in the area with its intended innovative in house and community outreach programs and activities for all the intended beneficiaries. It will be accessible and incorporates special education learning spaces.

The new center will have the capacity of accommodating over 200 persons and in various onsite activities at one time. It will include the administration offices, Computer Lab/Training room, Library, Conference/Community Training Hall, Vocational training rooms for Carpentry, Tailoring, Hair Dressing and working space for a number of other onsite training activities as well as a small parking space for visitors cars.

It is then our long waited desire and community request to setup a centralized well furnished Permanent TATCO Community Vocational Training Center in Bukerere Zone – Mukono District where planning, Training and Administration of programs and activities by TATCO Uganda will be centrally carried out in addition to other community outreaches to periodically train and monitor the intended beneficiaries in various fields of change.
