A number of women in Bukerere, Mukono district, were given training in Entrepreneurship, Business Management and Financial Literacy in 2024, with the aim of giving them skills for economic transformation.
The training created for these women an alternative to the stone quarry work many relied on to fend for their lives and families, helping them have an open mind for financial independence while acknowledging that women too can lead economic and social development in their communities.
We are grateful for the financial support from Haella Foundation, Netherlands, who funded all activities carried out that saw the women trained and a number of groups created and registered, ready to take up business enterprises.
