With support from our partner and strategic funder Classrooms for Africa (Canada), TATCO Uganda was able to build over 4 blocks containing 10 classrooms, an administration block and toilets between 2020 and 2022. We also provided the needed furniture in the classrooms and offices.
This was a signature project in Mukono district, giving the school a new face with a conducive environment that attracts children — mainly those who were previously in the Bukerere stone quarry — to stay and learn, supported by an organised school administration team and dedicated teachers.
A number of children per year are impacted, and good academic performance among the children is consistently achieved. Thank you Classrooms for Africa for trusting us and making us able to support this community school.
