In 2015, TATCO Uganda signed an MOU with the Creamland Nursery and Primary School – Kireka directors. The school was started in 2006 to provide education support services to vulnerable children who fled south from the Acholi Region – Northern Uganda, because of the civil wars of the LRA that claimed a lot of people's lives, making many children refugees in their own country.
With financial support from Classrooms for Africa between 2016 and 2018, TATCO Uganda constructed 10 classrooms, an administration block, a library, toilets, and leveled the play ground with pavers to create a favourable and conducive learning environment for children.
TATCO Uganda still continues to support the school with other education support like Teacher Refresher Training, and provision of some teaching aid and scholastic materials. The school has seen increased enrollment of children since then, improved academic performance and sustainability of education services. Thank you Classrooms for Africa (Canada) for the support.
